Ruskoka greets all its campers, parents, supporters and friends with the Bright Feast of Christ's Resurrection! Truly He is Risen! (see the Ruskoka Easter Card)

Volunteers Needed

It has been a long, cold, snowy winter at Ruskoka Camp. With summer just around the corner,  the camp season is off to a good start. Because of the enthusiasm of the campers, and the growing waiting list, we have extended camp to 3 weeks and 2 sessions!

Ruskoka Camp is growing, and we need your help. Have you ever thought of volunteering at the camp? Come spend a week or two at camp as a volunteer: help prepare delicious meals for the kids, teach them a new song, or repair a bicycle. Do you enjoy cooking? What could be more gratifying than feeding 65 hungry kids! Whatever your skills and abilities, come and spend a week, or two, at Ruskoka this summer.WE NEED YOUR HELP. Join us for a fun time, while at the same time contributing to a worthy cause. You will help enrich the lives of the children...and will find that yours has been enriched as well. [All volunteers must be 18 years or older]. Call Alik at 416 232 0829 if you have questions or would like to volunteer.

Winter Palace Ball

The 7th annual Winter Palace Ball  (  in support of Ruskoka Camp was  again a resounding success. Guests enjoyed an unforgettable evening of dining, dancing and elegance, whilst helping to raise over $13,000! Entertainment consisted of stellar performances by Dr Draw and the Polianka Dance Ensemble. Many guests took the opportunity to have their photo taken with  Miss Universe Canada 2007, Inga Skaya. The highlight of the Silent Auction was an autographed hockey jersey by Hockey Legend Vladislav Tretiak, which fetched top dollar in a bidding war. Mark your calendars for February 13, 2009, and plan to attend the Winter Palace Ball next winter. If you are interested in helping organize the ball, call Natasha at 416-702-7024 or e-mail n[email protected].

NEW Ruskoka Website

A dedicated team of volunteers worked over the winter to create a completely new Ruskoka website (check out ). The new site supports Russian language pages, a new photo gallery, and allows for easier revision of webpages. Please look at the new photographs from camp 2007 under photos! If you have a couple of spare minutes to help translate and contribute to the website, please let us know.

Spring Work Weekends

Do you miss Ruskoka? The first Ruskoka work weekend is just around the corner, May 10th and 11th, 2008. The ones following are May 24th, June 7th and July 5th. This spring, our work will focus on starting the construction of the new camp bathroom facilities, completing the chapel exterior, renovating the camp house basement, and preparing the camp for the summer. Eager, enthusiastic, and skilled volunteers are always needed. Join us for fun and fulfilling work weekends.
